๐ How This Year Is Coming To An End! ๐
Finally no more tests and no more frustration for these last two weeks. As soon as I thought that this year was coming to an end and how everything has gone by so quickly I really feel depressed and happy at the same time. Half of me feels sad and the other half of me feels happy. I am really looking forward for next year as I am turning into a Year 8.

๐ฅ Maniakalani Film Festival ๐ฅ
Ruapotaka School was very lucky to go to Sylvia park, because we had an opportunity to be apart of the Maniakalani community. Every schools from the Tamaki area, made a movie for the film festival. Maniakalani is an every year celebration for all schools in this area to make a movie. Our movie was about Rugby Values, it was all about how you can corporate with others and have teamwork with others. We had two people that had confidence from our class that represented our movie who were Vaimoana and Meafou.
My favourite movie was Tamaki primary, because they had inspirational people that could sing and dance.
Hope you enjoy our movie !

Today With Mr Penidea
Today at tech we were learning about food and shapes that would takeaway or dine in like MacDonald or another idea. We had to do a survey, based on how much you know on food and some of us know our food quite well. Our boxes have to stand so of course it had to be 3 dimensional shapes. This was our last class with Mr Penida and it was so fun.

Today we did "Orienteering", inside because we had to use our brain to match up the symbols on the map. We had to get into groups of 4, so we can play relays with each other. First we had, two groups on one side, and the other two groups on the other side. From each two groups from each side they had to go against each other. The game we were playing was matching up the symbols. Who ever wins goes again, until theirs an a official winner.

Our New Rotation
At tech we rotated to another class which was art. I felt really excited about our new class because I heard we were doing art. We were told to draw our names in different letter writing.
I started off using some block wirting for my first letter of my
word. I felt really happy with myself when I drawled the first letter of my name. Once I finished my first name I moved on to my last name, I started my last name with some bubble writing. When I finished I coloured everything in.
When I finished my whole name I showed everyone and they said it looks incredible.

Last Day At Tech
On Wednesday the 16th of August,we cooked nachos with Doritos, spaghetti, baked beans, tomato paste, cheese, garlic, sweet chill sauce, mixed herbs and thyme. First we cooked the mince with the garlic which smelt very strong. Once it was brown we added the nacho sauce into the frying pan, so we can mix it altogether. Once it was well combined together, I had a taste of it and it was really delicious!!!

Our Pasificka Study Performance
Today at our assembly every class performed an item relating to the traditional of Samoan and Tongan. The performance started off from room 1. Followed by 5, 6, 7, and then finally the seniors room 9, 10, and 12. My favorite performance was room 1, they performed an traditional Samoan dance called the Sฤsฤ. There actions that they performed was very active to the Samoan dance that they were doing. When it was Room 12's turn we went up and sang HOW FAR I'LL GO. I thought it will be hard because there was a whole lot of people staring at me, but when I stood up I started to become less scared and more confident.

Chicken Curry And Rice
Today we went to tech and we made chicken curry and rice. What we used to make was chicken, curry powder, black pepper, tomato paste and brown sugar to make the sauce sweet. First what we did was to boil the chicken with cold water and when that was cooking,we could put the sauce in. When we were doing the tomato paste sauce we had to add it into our pan and stir it. After we mixed it we drained the water from the chicken so we can add with the source. After cooking it we place the rice into our plate and put our chicken and our sauce in then after we ate some.

Daily Fitness๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Every week we always do circuits and running for our daily fitness. We do all kinds of fitness, at each station when we do our circuits like one of them are called static stretches.
When we do our running we always get timed 10min run. When I run I felt tired and sweaty also when I do my circuits. When I do circuits my buddies in my group help me force myself to do every station.
What I think about daily fitness is quite hard and focusing. When you do fitness you really have to think about focusing on what you are doing to your body and if you want to get fit or not.

Tapa Cloth During
What did we do for art ?
For art we drew a Tapa cloth to create the patterns of Tonga, we used our imaginary mind to thing what we might do. For my art I dured a big flower in the middle and small flowers in the four corners. Also I did patterns in the outsides of the flower and the outsides of the paper. I used a black pencil to darken the flowers and the out lines so that it can stand out , I also shaded the flowers in so that you could see the darkness more.

Milk Day
Thursday 1st June 2017 is a special day, which is milk day. Milk is good for kids so that our bones can stay healthy and we can grow taller. Milk helps our health for our bodies. Schools should be grateful when they have milk because, I think it is really great. It is a real pleasure that milk helps us energies us after playing. I feel lucky about having free milk given out to us.

In the past few weeks ,the water from New Zealand had been rising up .The water had been rising up to sea levels since 2007,the sea water had been one of the most things that New Zealand needs to keep in the world. We need to save our water so children can stay healthy as well. Water is another thing that New Zealanders need to keep so that the water can be still rising up. Seawater is one and only thing that we need to keep and also to make our water rise up.

New Auckland-Northland motorway route revealed
On the motorway there have been some traffic lately, As North and Southbound together also the traffic must be safe at all times and there must be safety around that area . The transporter Minister Simon Bridges has said that the traffic had gone good and also showing progress in this situation. The straighter road must be reduce so that the high crash weight is in this area. The motorists that often gets stuck is the heavy moving vehicle. The proposed route to be shared with public for their feedback. The motorway has had progress of traffic but also heavy vehicles had some issue's which was that they go slower than smaller and easier cars. The traffic around North and South has had good progress around those area's sometimes there have been some issue's with the traffic around that area because the traffic too some vehicles go slow and also it depent's on how many car's and how the traffic light's are going. The motorway has been busy alot and also not busy but most times there has been alot about traffic going around in Auckland.
